ACT Boot Camp

Prepare for the ACT test with our comprehensive ACT Bootcamp led by Greg Hudson, an experienced AP History Teacher and ACT expert from Valley High School. The course focuses on general and specific ACT exam strategies, aiming to boost students' overall scores.

Key features of the Bootcamp include engaging two-way materials, real-life examples, and short quizzes covering English, Math, Reading, and Science sections. While attendance on all dates is not mandatory, attending all three sessions, along with taking the official test a few weeks later, enhances retention.

The primary instructional day is Saturday, with an optional (but recommended) mock test on Friday before. The follow-up/tune-up session, a few weeks later, involves reviewing an assigned practice test, completed, scored, and brought back by students.

For optimal results, students are encouraged to:

  1. Take the optional mock test before the Bootcamp to establish a baseline for progress.
  2. Participate in the recommended follow-up session for a tune-up, bringing completed and self-graded sections of the assigned practice test.
  3. Complete one of the homework plans assigned during the Saturday Bootcamp.
  4. Ensure registration for the next official ACT test, typically scheduled a few weeks after the Bootcamp.

The cost of the class covers the Saturday Bootcamp, all materials, the optional mock test session, and the recommended follow-up session. Join us to maximize your ACT preparation and increase your chances of success.
